My entire team of teachers and I hope to build a Chinese classroom that children like, and hope that Chinese knowledge can be presented with beauty, fun, and thinking; let children understand and enjoy Chinese civilization, and be good at comparing different cultures. We firmly believe that popularizing Chinese overseas is to popularize understanding, and thus to popularize peace.

With many years of overseas teaching experience, the K and first grade classes she teaches are full of joy. Teacher Tian’s teaching skills are to design many interesting handicrafts to help students learn Chinese characters. She combines the strict stroke order of Chinese characters with pleasant activities, so that students can receive formal stroke training and lay a good foundation for future word learning. Learn Chinese characters through playing, practice through playing... Students will naturally fall in love with Chinese class because of a teacher.

Teacher Zhou Ying

Gifu University, Japan. Former Chinese teacher at Pleasanton. Currently the principal of Mitani Chinese School, teaching all grades.

I have been teaching Chinese in Japan and the United States for many years and have always been passionate about Chinese language teaching. I wish I could have a pair of students' eyes to explore the methods of Chinese teaching from another perspective, even if it is just a little bit. I know that it is not easy for overseas Chinese children to learn Chinese. Understanding, respecting, and encouraging every student, so that they can learn Chinese happily, develop an interest in Chinese culture, and appreciate oriental aesthetics, has always been my pursuit.

Teacher Chen Xiangling

Department of Biology, Fudan University, many years of teaching experience in both Chinese and English.

Interest is the biggest motivation for learning. Overseas Chinese classes should be fun and educational, and use lively and vivid classroom content and forms to mobilize children's enthusiasm and touch their hearts. Carefully prepare courseware and select materials before class, make the class humorous and interactive, and strive to make the after-class exercises easy. Every detail is focused on mobilizing interest in learning. Whenever a child says, "I like Chinese class," I am particularly moved. This is the greatest affirmation and encouragement for overseas Chinese teachers.

Children are seeds, and education is the soil. Teachers should encourage and appreciate students, water them with love, and nourish them with interest, so that each "seed" can generate the power of life! Learning Chinese is not just about recognizing words and speaking, but also about learning culture and ideas. It opens a window for children to discover the charm and brilliance of Chinese!

Teacher Wang Ling

Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Soochow University. Has been engaged in Chinese teaching in the United States for more than ten years, and has many years of experience in teaching both Chinese and English.

Since I started teaching, my students are all adolescents full of vigor and personality. I like to communicate with them like friends. Language is the carrier of human emotions. The ancient and beautiful Chinese language wants to tell us so much... When studying Chinese overseas, the children are thinking about their own root culture. No matter where a person goes, as long as he has roots in his heart, his life will be positive and healthy. This is my great expectation for all my students.

In teaching, we stick to the characteristics of "ABC" students, focus on stimulating interest, integrate boring words into vivid stories, and encourage students to apply what they have learned flexibly, thereby improving their listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities!
